Training

Every individual prefers to train differently. Some would rather run alone, but studies show people feel more supported and tend to achieve their goals faster when they train with someone else. That's why we give you the option of finding a training plan that fits your needs, but we'll be with you every step of the way with advice, nutrition tips, and scheduled group runs varying in distance and time.

Meet the Coach:
Kristen Jaremback

Kristen first became involved with the National MS Society’s fundraising efforts in 2004 when she trained with the former marathon group, MS Strides. Her mother lives with MS, and served as the inspiration she needed to take on her first race. Now Kristen is an accomplished distance runner, setting a personal goal to run a marathon in all of the 50 states. Her passion for running combined with her motivation to create a world free of MS make her a highly qualified coach for the National Capital Chapter’s new Run MS program!

As a Run MS participant, you will have the opportunity to run on long weekend runs with Kristen and the team. (And join us for week night fun runs!) This year’s training for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Half will begin in mid-December. Check back soon for more information!
